| Eastern MWD has standardized on a digester gas flow monitoring system using an insert fiberglass venturi with a stainless steel throat and electronic pressure, differential pressure and temperature transmitters manufactured by Invensys Process Systems (formerly The Foxboro Company). The three measured values are transmitted to a model 75MCA mass flow computer which calculates a flow value compensated for changes in process temperature and pressure. Currently there are two systems at their Temeculay WRP plant, one 8-inch line and one 2-inch line, plus they have committed to adding another system on a 6-inch line. Eastern MWD's Moreno Valley Plant is using this system on an 8-inch line. |
