Analytical Technology's newest product is their A15/66 Residual Sulfite Monitor.  You can call this a dechlorination analyzer.  This product may be revolutionary since it accurately measures sulfite in parts per million of a wastewater plant's effluent.  Plants who dechlorinate with sulfur dioxide or sodium bisulfite tend to over-sulfonate in order to avoid the fines associated with discharging chlorinated water.  This analyzer will allow you trim your sulfination down and save cost.

The A15/66 uses a unique and patented "gas-phase" sensor to make the sulfite measurement.  Since the sensor never touches the process, it never gets fouled by sulfur-reducing bacteria.  Maintenance of the sensor is recommended on a monthly basis.

Calibration is done using de-ionized water for a zero measurement and by mixing a standard solution of sodium sulfite for a span measurement.  Calibration takes about 15 minutes once the standard has been prepared.
